Remembrance Day at Stirlingshire Crematorium
Stirlingshire Crematorium is marking Remembrance Day by recording a special service which will be made available online from Friday 11 November to anyone who wants to view it.
It will feature readings by speakers from the church and military veterans.
The service has been organised by Liam Morton, Crematorium Assistant at Stirlingshire Crematorium who is a former soldier himself.
Stirlingshire Crematorium and Memorial Garden is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, tranquil places for people to visit and reflect.
Liam said: “Remembrance Day is a time when so many people pause to think about all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
“At Stirlingshire Crematorium, we are giving our community an option to watch our Remembrance Service from the comfort on their home at the time it suits them.
“Our webcast Remembrance Service will be available from Friday 11th November via www.obitus.com, using username: moci9980 and password: 998222
“We wanted to do something around Remembrance Day as part of our continuing efforts to play a positive role in local community life and to engage with the people who live in the area surrounding our beautiful site.”
