Remembrance Day at Stirlingshire Crematorium
Stirlingshire Crematorium is inviting anyone who wishes to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country to watch a special Remembrance Day service online.
The service is being recorded later this month but will be webcast from Saturday 11 November for anyone who wants to view it and pay their own respects.
The service will feature readings by speakers from the church and military veterans.
It follows the success of a similar event last year which was organised by Crematorium Assistant Liam Morton, himself a former solider.
Stirlingshire Crematorium and Memorial Garden is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 39 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, tranquil places for people to visit and reflect.
Manager Donnie Connor said: “ Honouring lives is a big part of what we do within Westerleigh Group, and as a nation it’s important that we never forget those who gave their lives for us.
“Not everyone who may want to pay their respects is able to easily travel and visit our site which is why we wanted to give people the option to watch our service from the comfort of their own homes, at a time that suits them, which means nobody misses out.
“We’re proud to be able to honour those who fought and died in the armed forces, and to able to help members of our local communities also pay their respects.”
People will be able to view the service from Saturday 11 November via Westerleigh Group’s partner Obitus.
